Nachdem Gründungsmitglied Ivan seinen Ausstieg bei CLITEATER bekannt gegeben hatte, hat sich die Band dazu entschieden, ihren gemeinsamen Weg zu beenden. Voraussichtlich wird es 2023 noch ein Abschiedskonzert geben.
Das Statement im Wortlaut:
My dear friends,
Joost on behalf of Cliteater here.
With great pain and sorrow and also with a smile we read Ivan’s statement about his departure from the band.
We talked as a collective about this and we respect his decision.
But this has consequences for Cliteater.
So as a collective we decided to quit with Cliteater. Cliteater will be no more.
Ivan was a founding member and without him that leaves only me as the last founding member of Cliteater.
There’s no Cliteater without Ivan, and we would like to keep our credibility.
We are all buddies in this band, it was a hard decision, but it’s a decision we had to make.
So we want to thank all of you, who were supportive in any way to our band.
Thank you all!
Not too much words and get on with it.
But we want to give it a proper ending. So somewhere in 2023, we want to end this, with one last gig, probably somewhere in the Netherlands, to give our fans and friends the posibility to see us one last time and to say goodbye.
We will keep you posted about this.
If anyone has suggestions about the final show, just let us know.
Personally I don’t know what to do next because I love to be on stage.
But that’s my bad.
To everyone out there, thank you again for the 21 years this band lasted because of you all!
