Shining (No) gewinnen Spellemannprisen

Die norwegischen Jazz-Metaller SHINING haben den Norwegischen Grammy, den so genannten Spellemannprisen, in der Kategorie „Innovators of the Year“ gewonnen.

Die Band fasst den gestrigen abend so zusammen:
„We won the prize for „Innovators of the Year“. The metal prize went to Årabrot. A hillbilly band won the prize for „Hit of the Year“ after receiving the most text message votes from the deep depth of Norway. The Norwegian media have lately been writing about the lack of scandals in the Norwegian music business, but got what they hoped for when the hillbilly band made a racist joke on stage while receiving the award. During the afterparty, a drink was poured on the hillbilly singer’s head.“
