Morbid Angel mit Details zu Single und Album

MORBID ANGEL, die ihr achtes Studioalbum, „Illud Divinum Insanus“, am 06.06.11 über Seasons Of Mist veröffentlichen werden, haben nun weitere Details bekanntgegeben: So gibt es nun ein Coverartwork zu bestaunen, für das sich Gustavo Sazes verantwortlich zeigt:

Darüber hinaus wird es bereits am 16.05. eine Single zum Song „Nevermore“ geben, welche als digitaler Download und Sieben-Inch-Vinyl-Single erscheinen wird.Die B-Seite wird dabei mit einem Remix von „Destructos Vs. The Earth“ den ersten offiziellen Remix eines Morbid Angel-Songs überhaupt enthalten: Verantwortlich hierfür zeichnet sich Andy LaPlegua von Combichrist.

„Of all the remixes I’ve been asked to do I never expected one of the world’s most notorious death metal bands to have an interest in hearing their music on the dance floor. However, ‚Destructos‘ is one of those tracks that are so versatile that it could have been recorded as a folk song and it would still sound amazing. I’m honored to be a part of this project and am excited to see how the MORBID ANGEL fans react to this unusual new direction.“
